depths of carve regions

That FREE Pattern of Gray scale color to DEPTH of Carve for working with patterns was posted in the Pattern section the other day...

I learned a bunch playing with it... Gives you a visual and depth real world feedback if you cut the pattern. This % of Gray scale = this depth.

I down loaded gimp 2.0 and the shade map and haven't a clue how to use it I'm going to have to get used to playing with that for now.
