Those of you at the CW conference may have seen my entry. It is quite simple, but is a good example of how the CW allows you to easily make a prototype that can be used to remove any "bugs" in a pattern or project.

The customer gave me some small inputs, and these carves are the result...

I carve all the eagles at once out of one piece of maple and then carved the plaques two at a time using a sled to cut down on waste. By using good layout techniques and batch cutting the pieces, I was able to get the eagles down to about 40 minutes each at normal and the plaques down to about 25 minutes. The eagles are glued/pin nailed to the plaque and the finish is spray lacquer. All 10 fit, individually bubble wrapped, into a 16 x 12 x 12 box for easy shipping.

Thanks for looking, and always, comments and constructive critiques are always appreciated.

Great job on the plaques, Lawrence. Organization was never one of my strong suits, but you seem to have a good handle on it.

Thanks for the kind words all-

Jerry- I cut two at a time per carve but all in once go... (one after the other...) The wood was about 5 inches wide if I recall... I did do some glue ups, but they are nearly impossible to see in the eagles.
