Many of the gallery submissions are ptn files. I'm not sure what they are but I know that I can't view them. Is there a way to view/use these files on a Mac?

I don't know if Mac is different, but are you importing them into your library? You can't just click on a .ptn and have it open. It should open Designer, but that's all.

Jon Jantz has done a nice video tutorial on how to use .ptn files.

Bob K... the vid doesn't play very well if you just click on it and run it from here...

So if you have problems, right-click on the link and go to "Save target As"

Later... Jon

OK Bob, in Designer with your Pattern file open, 'control' click on the 'Favorites' folder to get your import pop up. once in patterns you can view it or drop it onto a board and expand it.

pkunk,
Thanks. That did it. Mac is usually pretty intuitive but I would never have found that on my own.
