Bearings need replacing?

You have to determine if it is the y motor drive or the carriage which is hanging up. Loosen the belt or even remove it and you should be able to narrow it down.

Do you have dust collection? If not, it could be dust in the carriage rollers. If you have more than 250 hours, it might be the bearings in the y motor drive.

Like others posting above, it will come down to 2 things....

And the only way to narrow it down is to loosen the right side assembly and remove it.

Then remove the Y Motor Assembly and turn the big gear.... 1. The Y inner gear box Bearings are shot and the big gear has worn and tilted toward the center of the machine RUBBING on the U Shaped area of the frame causing the jam.

OR... One or more of the Roller Rail Bearings is FROZEN... With the Motor Removed move the Y back and fourth AFTER marking the bearings with a MARKER....

Lots of posts on this with lots of pictures. Use the " " in the search window.

We recommend changing the Y Gearbox inner Bearings every 250 Cut Hours. They take the most abuse.

Here are some pictures to get you started.
