My favorite thing to do with my CW is to carve signs. I would love to learn more about sign making such as material dicussions, painting techniques, gold leafing, finishing, etc. Are you part of any forums that are as helpful as this but share more in depth techniques specfically for sign making?

I've been looking for the same thing. Most of my signs are rustic, carved in western red cedar. I paint the letters with stencil ink and sand off the excess. Then a shot or two of clear. But I would like to find different methods to expand my capabilities. I was free hand carving but got tired of messing up boards all the time..LOL Now that I have the Carvewright messed up boards are far an few between!
