That looks really good. Maybe you will have to now give a tutorial. Carving pictures is, in my mind, an outstanding problem.

Looks great man. Yeah I agree with the others, sure would be nice to see a tutorial of how you did this.

I carved this in poplar (light color, tight grain). I ran the grain vertical to the portrait and used a light walnut stain. The trick is in selecting a picture without alot of noise. Sanding is a trial and error just take your time and sand a little until you get the results you want.
