routing tool??

is the routing tool only available in the trial, i've looked for the tool to rout a cut out project and can't find it.
if i try to rout a cut out it routs the whole board and not the cut out, example would be making a deer horn mounting plaque, once designed and told to cut, then rout it only will rout the whole board edge and not the cut out. when i goto help section

Rout Tool: Select this tool to break a figure's path into pieces and apply bit or cut characteristics to each. See Using the Rout Tool for more information.

But i don't see it anywhere in the non-trial.

if i try to customize the tools toolbar i can put it in there but it won't appear in the actual toolbar..

I don't think they have all the bugs worked out of the rout tool. You may actaully want to use the 'Select Bit' tool (router bit looking icon). You can select a path then the 'Select Bit' tool and choose a router bit to use to cut along that path.

(I think in previous posts I had gotten the names of these two confused so hope I did not confuse anyone before)

Do you have "outline pattern" by right clicking on selected project?
If you do then select bit .
