From what I can tell it looks good. The Tips & Tricks does say to use a depth of .180 and a height of 450, but I think the 480 should still work ok. I couldn't view it in pattern editor since I was not the author. I always look at the edges of my pictures (in pattern editor)to make sure when it is zoomed way in that a green line is not there, and if so I remove it, other wise the machine will cut a deep groove around the edges. Something that AskBud walked me thru one night.

Do you want to choose bit optimization - best? I have never done a litho but it seems to me it it would be better.

I ran the litho, just finished, it ran fine and it looks great.but I did a run and had the pattern backwards had it going 10" by 8 instead of 8 x 10 but stopped it before it got to far that piece still can be used..

it's all trial and error..... It seems like more error than trial ...lol

I have made the lithophane but what is the common dimensions for a 8 x 10 for the light to get the right illumination? what is usually the minimum?

aokweld101 it depends on the light source. Dim led can be closer than a bright one.

I was thinking of 9 3/4 x 11. x 3 1/2 and I think I'll have to figure it out from there.
