I'm not sure who posted the original of the hot tub dude, but it carved GREAT. The carve is .4 deep and has a 999 height. The lettering is 125 high and has a medium draft.

This one makes me smile-- I've made it for a friend to hang over his hot tub. It is the first time I've carved Jatoba, and it carved VERY nicely, holding details well and it looks great. The carve is .4 deep into a piece of sized 12x20. I rubbed a little dark pigment into the bubble bath carve and sanded it off to make the details show better and then topped it with epifanes oil based. I'll put on 4 or 5 more coats before it is done and it'll be ready for an English summer outdoors.

Thanks for looking, and comments are always appreciated
Lawrence

Good looking wood, great staining. But, that is only to be expected from a Master!

I was gonna say those are from one of the Russian sites! There are some much "racier" versions too! ;) Lawrence, as usual, beautiful work, beautiful wood, excellent finish and great pics!

Just now saw this. Great relief work on someone's part, and a nice carve too. I have got to make one of these for a friend now...

Man, that's a clever and well-done inclusion of the pattern. Please post pics when it is done!
