I have been cleaning and scrubbing my bits with thinner, but I switched to an can of spray carburetor cleaner and a brass brush and it is working out well. Just thought I would pass it on...

I stole my wifes oven cleaner. Works well. And smells like lemons!

Carb Cleaner some bad stuff.... Can cause Cancer... ( My Opinion) Don't use in a enclosed space and NOT in a basement shop.... Expose your family....
Sure it works GREAT... Just be careful...

I've been using CMT Orange 2050 Blade and Bit Cleaner (Woodcraft) to clean my bits and blades. Messy but works good.

Thanks I think I'll try the oven cleaner. I had about 6 bits that were all gummed up so I gave it a shot. My workshop is not attached to the house it is an 18 x 35 building and well aired. Thanks for the advice.
