No problem. I don't think it carves well, unless you are looking for a special effect. But I cut gears out of 1/4" Baltic birch plywood for my clocks.

when I 1st started I did a carve on 3/4 plywood once and I liked the layers that came out was worried about the glue in between the layers.

Old school, salvaged plywood may carve good. But the stuff they sell today has so much filler, it really does not carve well.
