But wasnt exactly what I was wanting, oh well maybe next time. Practiced on a piece of pine today, much much lighter color. More what I was looking for, just a hint of color. Water color/ Clear PU coating

That looks great! Did you carve the pine tree in the lower picture with the CW as well?

I like what you're doing. I'm a bit puzzled as to what time zone your in, or do you normally work at about 2am ?

it is now 3:50 am. lets see...my reasons why Im up at this hr
1. Menapausal :lol:
2. Hubby snores veryloud
3. making patterns and reading the forums
4.Dont work hard enough anymore I guess to require 8 hrs of sleep
5. Its so peaceful in middle of the night. Guess Im just a night owl. I usually take a nap by 9 am. Thats how hubby gets to my machine.

very nice job/// been expermenting with the same kinda stuff.. painting the inlays ect... you mentioned water color humm?
the miss's and i have been tryn (nail polish to highlight stuff)..i like the fast dryn time!!.
