Doing this for a Disabled Veteran Buddy who recently passed away. His wife and Daughter asked me at the service if I would build a wooden urn for him. They told me that it had to be done by April cause the arrangements were made with Arlington National Cemetery .. The Funeral Director provided me the size requirements for Arlington ... The finish is not on yet, I'm gonna do an oil finish on it and with the weather swings we been having here in the NE, the drying time in between rubs is gonna be iffy too .. This is when years of finishing experience comes in handy.. Then comes the part I'm not looking forward to,, going to get the remains from the funeral director and sealing them up inside the final resting place for my buddy..

Front has United States Dept of Army Seal and the back has a nice cross that is very close to a tattoo on his forearm with USA under it just like his tattoo .. Doesn't show well in the pics.. Once the finish is done it will show much better...

Nice urn Kevin. Sad, however, that you have to make it. I am sure it will be appreciated.

You have given your buddy a resting place, a gift for eternity. Most of us will never be able to give something like this to a loved one. Great job. Great friend.
