A quick and dirty project.
This is a medieval arrow stand for field tips.
It is 3 feet by 3 feet, It slides together, no screws or pegs.
It is strong enough for me to sit on.
Made of 2x10 Stained with a rub on finish

Carl,

Very nice project.

How many hours do you have in this?

Good looking project, Carl. I like that it can serve a couple of different functions....not only holding the arrows, but providing a little rest for the weary when needed....

Thanks, there is a total of 8 hours carve time, Maybe an hour finishing.
I dont have a cutting bit so I use my scrollsaw to cut the mortises.
If I do another one I will extend the upper tenons and sand a groove in them so they can be used to cradle the bows.
I did this one for a friend, He will see if there is a market.

Yes the text on the side is centerline. The wood is construction grade fir. the stain is Varathane woodstain and finish that comes in a tube. Squirt on, wipe and dry in 5 minutes. I did give it a coat of clear wax to buffer the elements.

That is nice and Im sure there is a market for it we have alot of bow hunters here, for the bow what about a couple of pegs on the front of the shelf to display the bow a quik fix, but I know that there are no quick fixes for a person that just keeps thinking of betters ways to do things..lol

I had thought of pegs, The person who wanted the piece was concerned that the weight of the bow would cause the stand to tip. I really doubt it would due to the weight and the center of gravity. but it was his call :)

I wonder if anyone has used CW to make a recurve bow ?????
