I had to replace gear assembly and broke teeth off of new gear. everything seems to turn freely.

Did you use a bad board or have the sliding plate too tight against the edge and jam the machine up? Might help others avoid a problem if you could tell us how you caused the problem.

The Sand Paper Belts could be rolled under at the Brass Roller side of the machine jamming the belts....

So we are talking X Gears correct.....

It is possible that the BROKEN off teeth were still stuck to another gear and jammed the new gear....

Have to agree with al about the gears it happen to me but had a piece of wood jam
