scanning probe?

While doing a scan does it suppose to sound like it is chattering?

Using the probe with gluing tips installed.

ill post a short video if my phone will start acting right.

Yes it will. It is the z truck movement finding the top surface of what you are scanning..

Yea like he said. The Z axis is continuously moving up and down during a scan. The chattering is just that.

The results of my first scan and carve.
The sizes are off a little on the one on the left but I will work on that some more, Then the fun part working on the holes.

Walnut are the orginal and the ones i carved are oak

I did have a mistake forgot to change the board thickness and cut all the way thru my jig.
