I have been playing with this pattern for a while now, and I just cant seem to get it, I am just not at that skill level yet. I would like to pay someone who is willing to take the time to make this pattern a great carvable pattern. Its a badge, with a lot of detail, and I know someone on here would probably do it for free if I asked, but I really want to compensate you for your time. The pattern is a CID Badge. I think the biggest problem I have been having is all the images are shiny, so converting them and then carving them is making a mess out of things! If your interested please let me know, these badges are going to be used for Agents who are retiring or leaving the Agency, so I really want them to look awesome!

I started making this pattern. It will be on my site when I have it finished. Should be no later than tomorrow evening. I will let you know when it is finished. There is no commitment from you. As I said it will be on my site for sale.

Thanks eelamb, what program are you using in that photo?

I am using Moi3d to create the pattern. Then I will take it into zbrush to do the center section. What I am doing is drawing it to give me the vectors to work with. I will then add height and shape as needed. Others may offer to make it for you and that is OK if you go with them. Either way I will have this pattern on my site for sale when finished. Figured it would be a good addition to my site.

Had a little time this afternoon, so decided to work on this some. What I am showing is a test to see if my mesh was solid, so I could round the badge without distortion. Thus it may look wavy but as I said a test only.

Wow Ed! That looks great! Just for laughs, I am going to post a pic of my test carve!

Just tell 'em you used it at the range ;)

Seriously though, it took me a looong time (and I still mess it up sometimes) to learn how a "picture" doesn't necessairally translate to a "carve" because of depth issues- It sounds like you've got that lesson down pat much quicker-

Lookin' great so far Ed

Getting even closer to finishing the CID badge. Need to fix a few areas in PE after importing the STL file.

What a wonderful pattern on the badge Eddie.

You really do a fine job with all your patterns,
I for sure know that since I have carved some of them.

Great job Eddie! I see you are still learning and improving with your 3d & 2.5d modelling skills! Keep it up! I still read a lot on this forum, but I don't say to much these days. Just wanted to take a moment and say "Hi".

Thanks Robert and Doug (I see you once in awhile Doug, nice to see you around at times).
Here is the final, and will be on my site later today. Have to go out to a job right now.
