In an earlier iteration of my career, I was a CNC programmer for two large Bystronic infrared cutting lasers at a metal fabrication shop. The proprietary Bystronic software I worked with had a simple "Simulate" command that would run a zoomable (and speed-uppable) visual cut simulation of the job I was working on. It would be really useful if a simulation command could be added to Carvewright Designer so we could see how the machine will cut a particular job before taking the plunge and making chips.

I have a program for doing cnc turning and milling that will let you simulate how things will be executed, I agree with you Xblack, that would really be a nice option for our designer program.

We have a thread for software improvements -- suggestions should be directed there.
