Motor Transplant?

Has anyone ever transplanted a different router or motor in their machine?

Good Question.... I have had thoughts of using a Laminate Router as a replacement. It would need the magnet end of a old cut motor armature cut off and mounted in the Router and the Speed sensor mounted too.... You could possibly use the end of the plastic cut motor housing.... That leads me to wonder of a Armature could be run with a BELT like a Drill Press.... Thinking out loud... I know LHR has warned me that there would be problems with a different motor system due to the Speed Control and speed feedback... The Computer is looking for a magic number.... The machine might get the old CCM fault... Check Cut Motor...
