i have just done a carve useing the 1/16 bit and the 1/8 cutting bit when it got done with the 1/16 bit it promted for the 1/8 to do the cut out in doing so it said the depth was wrong instead of hitting the retry buton i hit proceed and the bit did its thing but did'nt touch the board so i aborted the project and i went back to the puter and rewrote the program just to do the cut out its asking for a 1/16 bit do i do what it ask?

With out seeing your modified project I am guessing there still must be something in the design requiring the 1/16 bit.

Even if there is no carving on the mpc, it will still ask for the 1/16 carving bit if you choose to jog to position. The 1/16 bit is a better pointer. After that it will ask for the 1/8 bit and start cutting.
