I made this before I got my CW. I used it on my scroll saw. It is powered by a shopvac and does a pretty good job of settling the dust out prior to reaching the vac.
I used two traffic cones from a dollar store, a 5 gallon pail with a screw on lid, 4 dowels and some plastic fittings. Also a whole bunch of silicone sealer. I know now I have the machine I could do a better job but the traffic cones are ideal and the total cost of the project was under 10 dollars.

Great way to improvise. Sometimes simple is better.

Today I should be finishing a Thien Separator I made for my new planer, which has it's own blower so it'll be under pressure instead of vacuum. The prototype I made worked incredibly well, so I am eager to see the final design work.
