I finally finished the carve of the Veggie Tray. I had some Walnut that was almost 1" thick and I planed it to get as much thickness as I could. Turned out to be about .9" so I adjusted the depth of the patterns and carved it.

That's super cool looking man- well done

If you ever want to borrow one of the dish bits to make one that's a little deeper with your handheld router, just let me know and swing by the shop- but in the meantime, that looks awesome

Nice looking project! I also like the signature text on the bottom.

Thanks to everyone. The carve took almost 14 hours (optimal) and was designed to use just the 1/8" cutting bit and the 1/16" carving bit (not including the signature on the back). I didn't think about it until afterwards but, I could have cut the carve time down to 9.5 hours using the 3/16 carving bit.

Man, you really can borrow my bit anytime-- It works really well in conjunction with the CW if you use the CW to create a bearing surface. I tried it out a while back for this project - pretty sure my carve time was about 15 minutes tops...

Granted, mine took significantly more work drilling/routing/sanding afterwards, but it was still about 3 hours total and it would really cut down on wear time on your machine.

I will say this though- yours is pretty cool looking and was entirely done on the machine- which is sweet
