Here is my latest carve. The dogs were shadow files.
The rectangle and oval design I drew with a paint program and imported.
The sign still needs cutting out. I didnt buy a cutting bit so I will do it on my scrollsaw.
This is the first time I have carved on optimal. I am sure pleased with the results.
I think I will paint the dogs rather than staining, Still thinking about that.

Thanks Lawrence, I have that pesky little ridge around the edge of the pattern because I dont have the pattern editing software but I am thinking it may work as a wall to stop stain or paint from flowing onto the rest of the sign. I can also just carve it off by hand.
The carve time was 5 hours, I would hate to think how long it would take to carve by hand. I would also hate to think what it would look like if I carved by hand LOL
