Those are all great projects...each beautiful in it's own right. Especially like the sayings you've put around the lithophanes because memories are what it's all about....of thoses that's gone on ahead and for those that stay behind.

Thank you Sharon! They are very meaningful to each of them. My Pops used to blame all the craziness on something in the water. And the saying came from this site somewhere. But if you knew my Pops, you would know just how fitting that statement is.
And my father-in-law always slept in his chair, but if you touched anything he would swear he was just resting his eyes. He died of Alzheimers. Toward the end he couldn't dress himself. But he could tell the greatest stories about his youth and the Korean war. Those memories were so deeply embedded they were all he had left.

Those are great Bert. I have been thinking about a lighted litho that you can change the carving.

Leo these are very simple. I used wide boards. and did them in three carves. One for the carve region on the back. The I used the carve region as the sled for the litho. Then I flipped the board and carved the frame and cut out. Hot glued the litho in the frame and made a simple 3/4" frame for the back. Mounted christmas lights on a piece of lauan. Nailed the lauan and the 3/4" frame to the back of the frame. I am not happy with the lighting. But they hang on the wall like a normal picture. I want to use led strips. But whenever I ask everyone says get them from Ebay... Get what from ebay? Which lights, which plug, which power supply? But I'll figure it out sooner or later!

Thank you all for your nice compliments!

Those are some great carvings!! Try going to www.ledlightsworld.com for LED light strips and supplies. They have a 5 meter roll of LED strip lights that that are cuttable at every three bulbs (item # SMD 3538). They also have a DC Female plug cable to solder to the LED strip ( item HK-DC-PLUG) that allows you to plug into the 12 V AC adapter with an On/Off switch (item HK-IDB-PS-12-X). Using those three items you end up with a very professional looking light system.

Best Christmas in a long time! Christmas is supposed to be happy! But there was so much crying going on at my house yesterday, they even made me cry! I think they liked them all?! There is nothing better than creating projects, for your loved ones, that evoke emotional overload! And I could not have done it without all of the Great friends I have here! Thank you all for your tutoring and encouragement. I hope all of your Christmases were as "Happy" as mine!
