extra piece

I found this piece in my model A machine. What is it and where does it go? I doubt that my machine came with extra pieces.58010
I am a newbie and am still experimenting with my machine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is the a roller bearing sweeper. It covers the roller bearings for either the Z or Y truck
