Thank you all for the kind words.

I love this carving machine and what one can do with it.

With my job, not enought time to get were I want to be with my carvings.
The dream is to carve a living out.

Keep up the carving, Looks real good! What did you finish the dog with to get that effect in his coloration?

radman5506,

Thank you for your kind worlds.

Here is the colors I used and in what order.

1st-Royal Gold (Acrylic Paint)
2 coats on fronnt and back.

Then seal front and back with KRYLON mtte 2 coats.

2nd- coat front and back with Mettallic Copper. Wipe it off lightly.

Then seal front and back with KRYLON matte 2 coats.

3th-coat the letting area with Charcoal/make sure the letters are filled with the Charcoal and wipe it off.
then paint over the front on of the dog with Raw Umber and wipe it lightly off so you can leave dark color in for detail.

Then seal with KRYLON matte.

That is what it took to get the look.

The Jack Russell ptn is from the CarveWright pattern depot.

The Schauzer ptn was made from a photo my niece sent me of her late dog YD.
