I just finished this family crest sign which is 22" X 24 " and the horse head sign. I sure like how nice the horse head came out. The pattern was from the CNC model club.
Thanks guys! http://www.cncmodelclub.com/

Great detail on the crest, and the horse head is awesome. How did you finish it?

Two very nice projects Tom. I really like the shape of the crest... is this one of your own designs?

both are great carves- I think your choice of wood finish was especially nice as it really brought out the character. May I ask what you used as a finish?

Thank you Sharon, Lawrence, Bert, Floyd and Dick for your comments! Both signs are carved in cedar and stain with cabot australian timber oil, natural color. I really like their stains. The brown works great filling in leters when I us centerline.
The frame I purchased from John P and I purchased the family crest online for 8.95. I was paid well for the carving and the customer was also thrilled with it. The horse head had beautiful detail so it was easy to paint with a little blending.
