I was just searching the pattern depot for scenes of a house along a river and I noticed that it appears that these two patterns from two different vendors appear to be the exact same pattern.

How do I determine which one is the original? I would rather support the original creator rather than someone who is copying.

They have more than one the same see below. I thought LHR reviewed patterns to make sure they were originals.

With about 7,000 patterns, it is sometimes hard to find the duplicates. I removed those that were added second.

Dave,
Looks like these are from the same vendor. I have the very same plate that I picked up at a second hand store for scanning. I have seen several other "same patterns" from different vendors so I am guessing that we/they/us have found the very same items. It is not necessarily someone copying another persons pattern and trying to sell it.

Pattern Vendors should also check the store before uploading and check that we are not duplicating names.

I understand and know it is hard to keep duplicates out of such a large supply of patterns. I also understand they may have created from same object not from each other patterns.

Any time someone sees a duplicate or low quality pattern, please feel free to let us know!
You can post duplicates here.
Please, send me a PM for low quality patterns.
Some patterns have ONE LITTLE STRAY PIXEL in them and only the pattern vendor can correct this. Let me know when you find these. As a short term fix, you can put a small circle around it and give it a carve region with a depth of zero to hide it, if possible.
