OK, I have a question about the seemingly common problem with bit recognition. You know, the bit plate adjust thing.

When I checked the Y-axis belt tension plate, it was indeed loose. The only thing I have read about this is to tighten the screw.

1. What about the belt tension? I set mine just finger tight (pushing on the plate with one hand, tightening the screw with the other). Does anyone out there know of a spec on belt tension, like so much deflection in the middle? I think it should probably have a certain amount of tension, but is there "too much"?

2. It would sure be nice if that screw had an Allen head. Think I will take mine out and run down to Tacoma Screw to see if they can set me up with one. I'm not comfortable with the feel of it, as is. Anybody else copy that?
