My dremel Contour sander died. I can't function without it - I don't know how you people without one do it. Dremel quit making them about 3 years ago - big mistake with the proliferation of CNCs. I figured out how to make my own sanding tubes because I had purchased the last in existence. Anyway, I found a near new one on Ebay for $48 and got it, but there are 2 more there, another Dremel ($20) and a Sears ($16) - I didn't know sears ever sold that. The only problem is that they don't have all the contour pads. Near as I can tell from the pictures the Sears is missing 4 and the Dremel 2. You can take a look.

try looking on e-replacementparts.com they have stuff like that. bought an obsolete battery for a 7.2 cordless dremel for 20.00 and I works great. might get lucky and they might have what you need.

Maybe the brushes just need replacing? I am sure Dremel still has some of those you might be able to get.

I did replace the brushes (same as the rotary tool) and it worked for a short time then quit again. Bapping it made it work in squirts, then nothing. I have a replacement on the way, I just thought some of you might be interested. Like I said, I find this tool indispensable. It does inside and outside rounds of different radiuses, flat areas between the patterns, and stuff like that.
