cut outs cutting into other part of carving

I have been carving the coin bank project and when it comes to the cutting out the rings it cuts out first half great then when it goes to carve the second half it cuts out into the first part , what causes this problem?

Sounds like a slip in the X movement. If you could post a picture of the actual carve it would help us to get a better idea.

Bye any chance, did you put masking tape on the downside of the board to make better contact with the brass roller

7 inch rule of wood? Is the board supported by 2 rollers ALL the time? OR popping out due to design and the Brass Roller is loosing contact with the board?
