I'am asking this just to cover all bases. I want to carve out a number of straight lines using a 3/8" ballnose bit but that size isn't included in the bit selection in the software. Am I going to run into problems (with the machine) if I use the 1/2" bit selection in designer but install a 3/8" ballnose bit in the machine? Thanks - Doug

Try using the 3/8 straight bit setting and then use the ballnose bit instead. Just adjust your depth and I would recommend using the multi-pass if the depth is going to be fairly deep. This will give you the proper width of the cut path in the project file.

Well DUH??? I am not quite sure why I didn't think of that. I guess I was focused on the type of bit and not the size. Thanks guys for getting back to me - Doug
