Are you want to cut through or carve out the center?

To get to the forum from the main site go to the "community" tab, forum is the top link..

For removing the center area use the carve region tool with either a circle or square...

sw123man, when I'm making coasters with round region in the center, I use the drill fuction and
step it down about 1/8" at a time to depth you want. It will give you a clean cut botom and straight sides too.

Use the circle tool making a circle to the size you want then select the carve region. This will carve the circle area for you. You can adjust the depth to make it deeper or shallower.

Depending on how you are making the coasters, you may have to use the merge tool to have the cirle carve region show.

The easiest way to make a coaster is to use the drill tool. Draw a 4" circle and center it. Using the drill tool, make a 3.25" drill hole in the center with a depth of .5". Make the outside circle a cut path then assign the 1/4" roundover bit to the same outside circle. See attachment.
