I am trying to route my project using the decrotive bits. After the machine homes both carving and routing bit it carves the project. After installing the route bit it says the depth is wrong. Help!!:confused::confused::confused:

Are you routing the edges after carving the project is completed or as part of the project?

As part of the project. I thought to just use my router after the project, but then why did I buy the 11 bit set?

Would assume carvetight spindle? Might be the router bit did not measure properly during the initial set up.

You can still route your project after the carve by pressing the number 3 button then select all then press the down arrow to enter the decimal point and enter your depth. Example: Down arrow then 35 would be .35 depth.

Yes, Carve Tight spindle. I used the small spacer that came with the bits. Does this make a difference?

If the spacer was on when measured and now, should read the same! Make sure you have the same bit, I know it sounds simple, but I have done that, and swore it was the same bit! LOL

Let us know how it goes.

Still got depth error, but hit continue. Did alright but the plastic spacer deformed.

Yes the spacer will do that from the heat.

When routing the edge when I a project, set it up to do multi passes. This will reduce the heat build up on the bit some.

You can also get some 1/4 ID tubing and cut it to size of the spacers you already have.

I wonder if it's throwing the error up because it's taking too much in one pass? Try taking multiple passes like chief suggested and see if that helps.
