The wood used in this project was salvaged from a late 1600's early 1700's home in my area. The most tedious part was finding and pulling all those square cut nails before milling the wood to size..

That came out really NICE! (watch out for the "apostrophe police", though...there should be no apostrophe after the name)

EDIT: On second thought...perhaps the apostrophe is fine...as it could be read as plural, not possessive

That is beautiful! And you are so lucky to find such remarkable wood. I go recycling every week, And I love to turn trash into treasure!

Thx,, I enjoy it a couple times a week... Me my dog Gizmo and a cup of coffee,, It sits next to my stream under a shady Gum tree ... Only problem is the mosquitos enjoy us while we enjoy it !! With all this West Nile stuff, I keep the Cutler rite next to the bench ...

Since I am the apostrophe police! The apostrophe is correct! The Williams' ends in a "S" so to add a "S" would be incorrect! The Williamss!! Looks very wrong!!

PS the bench looks great!

I used 2 metal detectors... A lot of the nails were rusted away at the surface and were buried inside the wood.. Most of the wood was approx 4 X 8... Since the wood was very rough dark and splintery, U couldn't see the black rust marks in the wood..

Oh and thx Ike !! That is correct, no " 's after an S " If anything it would be an ES after an S LOL !!!
