Opening files and Designer crashes

Hi, On both my computers (1 Mac) and (1 Windows 7) sometimes if I open files designer crashes. Version 1.185

Started noticing it on the windows computer first. Then today i really needed a file, Rebooted and tried everything. Nothing worked.
Then went home and tried to open the same files on the Mac. Exact same problem. Won't do it on all files, just some and it is random.

Then on the Mac I opened version 1.181 ( I save all old versions) and everything worked fine ALL the time. Was able to load .mpc's without a glitch.

This tells me that there is something going on with version 1.185.

I also loaded 1.185 per instructions...

The LHR guys can give the ultimate answer, but my guess is that 1.85 is much more memory intensive than 1.81. You may have too many patterns in your favorites list. Try thinning them out a little to run 1.85.

You said u followed instructions. Does that mean u removed the old version then installed 1.185? Did u install and register win 7 using "run as administrator". See how many copies of the favorites file u have.
