I spent the last couple weeks putting together 2 more puzzle boxes. I cannot cut as straight a line as my CW so I create a MPC to do my cut-outs with the 1/16 bit. Cut outs are now the easy part. Either I have my machine setup better than it was or the new software is giving me better corners than I used to get. If it is the software guys, THANKS!
1st I made a new sled --
55544
2nd Then I had to try out my new collet holder in my Carvetight chuck --
55545
3rd Unload the sled when it was done .. It took 6pcs - 14 x 22 for the project. Average time 25 minutes per panel.
55546
4th - Punch out time ( brought back the days when we glued together plastic models) 160 pcs to make this box.
55547
Finally got it finished...
55548And a second one that only took 2 more panels to make..55549
The Lions chest has 14 sliders you have to use to open the box. There is also a hidden drawer in the bottom that will open with a few more slider moves.
The Dice will roll 5 times in the correct order from side to side to release hidden panels to eventually allow side 6 to slide open.
My Grandkids love thee things, so I am building up a selection for Christmas.
Thanks for looking and happy carving!
