I am open and am willing to buy the pattern. Thanks! You, probably, need no extra software for your round box. Start by reviewing the April '09 Tip & Trick. Also, remember that you have a depth of cut/carve limit on both the cutting (1 inch) and carving (.8 inch) bits.

As Bud said, no need for external software. Using designer alone (none of the 3d suite) I made this example file for you to review, and learn from to make the round box you are looking for.

You wil need the latest designer software 1.184 to open this mpc file.

Or take a look at the second box where a design is placed on the top lid. Removing the feather on the rose will eliminate the carve in the waste area. But as I stated it is waste so nothing to worry about.

I am looking for a pattern to use as a wall mounted clock in the shape of an apple for my wife's classroom walls. If anyone has something already designed please drop me a note.

Your correct Eddie, Micheal has a couple of nice apple ptns.

When I get home tonight I am going to order the apples from Michael.

Apples would look good doing them as a pierced carving which I will do it as. Lorian the lady at the Mrs. Bairds Bread store. She collects apples and is really a great person, so I'll carve one of them and surprise her with it.
