I"m trying to layout about 5 ovals with text onto the same board. Is there a way to copy the first one down the line to make all 5?

Are you sure? The new version of Designer pastes copies DIRECTLY on top of the original. Perhaps the copies are there and you don't realize it. Let us know...

After getting all your elements designed and sized the way you want do a right click and "select all" then copy and past. Note make sure you do not have any restraints (centered on board etc) on the original design. Like Michael stated the pasted will be on top of the original. Go to VIEW and at the bottom is "carving list". It will open up a window showing all elements you have on the board..

If it copies directly on top, how do I get it to the side?

Select from carvin list and when you get the "move" curser while over highlighted area - left click and drag to desired location. If the one you wanted is selected skip the select from carve list step.

I think I'm getting it now. Thanks. Just looks wierd. I reckon that 4 pointy arrow thing is what drags.

Your copied item will be highlights in white. Move your mouse over it , left click and hold then drag to the new location

How do I copy one that I already made and put it on a new board?

Ok, now I've got it finally. Thanks. Trial and lots of errors.

After you select and copy, create a new board under file - new. (Do not close the old project you copied from or the copy will be lost.) Now paste onto the new board.
