I am making some picture frames and have some questions on how to improve the quality. I have set bit optimization to best in both the software (for all elements) and on the machine and I get the imperfections shown in the attached picture (see red arrow). I am using pine and I am not sure if that is the main problem or, in addition, if the designs are to small for getting good detail.

Also, when putting a pattern from the library into a rectangular region, do you still keep the feathering at the setting in the library or do you set the feathering to none?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks

Al

A lot of the quality of the carving will be mostly dependent of the quality of the artwork itself I've done carving of something I though together and I also done some that James Booth supplied for a special project for me . The difference is night and day. I'm learning the graphic side of this and its a pretty steep learning curve. If I need something for a project I go see James :D
