new member here. while going thru the forums waiting on my machine I saw a greyscale JPG and a carving comparreson. I hve looked and looked and cant find it again. Any one point me in the right direction?
This seems to be a very helpfull group of peopl, hope one day to contibute.

still cant find it, this was a JPG of a greyscale itself showing the transiton of the greyscal and a carving of it, not a parrot or any other object , just the greyscale

Hello,
Regarding the gradient example...I thought that darker areas carved deeper than lighter areas.
The example displays the opposite. Was this intended, or am I misunderstanding something?

Remember that you can invert any image so white can be top or bottom of depth, just the opposite from black. Just don't confuse which is which on the same project.

OK. So that was how the gradient example is shown...inverted, with the light areas carved deeper instead of the dark as one would "normally" expect, yes?
