LOCATED PROBLEM

hi folks its me again.. ((standing humble before you)..

located problem.. no power..

tested power supply board / no output / i believe to be ...5 volts to legs and /12volts dc to run board,,

removed circut board and located coil not soldered... heated /remove and reinstalled... tested and wow...its chipping away now!!!

thanks for all the good folks out here and im sorry to start off on the wrong foot!..

Great fix Giz,

I would guess that the coils were wave solderd with the rest of the board. Sometimes the large pads/leads won't heat up as quick as the rest of the board and you can get some cold solder joints. Couple that with the fact that everyone is now soldering lead free ( a VERY new technology comparitivly ) and I expect many more problems related to soldering on all electronic items over the next 5 or so years. ( That's why aircraft electronics are exempt from the lead free regulation, they want to get it all sorted out before hand ).

Anyhow, great fix.
