View Full Version : Replica AH-1W Rotor Blade

I don't share nearly as often as I should but here is a Replica AH-1W Tail Rotor Blade that I did for the outgoing Sergeant Major. The Patch and Logo are both raised. I thought of doing two carves to "inlay" the carvings but the raised look gives it a bit of a 3d effect and it look great on the wall. I was just asked to do another for our outgoing XO. I have been told that this is now the "prestigious" gift for when people leave.

Very different. Quite a pain actually. I found a painter at work who is cheap but loves to paint so for now I don't have to paint. These things are getting popular though. The only real bad part is that its a 9+ hour carve on normal. And my dust collector just went kaput. So another thing to fix...
