I know this may be a trivial question to many but I thought that by just doing the invert pattern button that would do it. So I put my image on a board and inverted it several times but each time I inverted the pattern it still looked like a fecessed image into the board. Could someone help me out with this. Thanx

I believe you need to apply a carve region around you pattern to have it with a raised feature. Use either the rectangle or circle tool to put an area around the pattern. With the area that you just created being highlighted select the "carve region" tool. Note that the carve region default depth is .250, you will need to either change this to match your pattern depth or set region depth to match your pattern.

If you have not found them yet here is a link to the "tips and tricks" section on the CarveWright site. Lots of great learning tools for you to get started with..
