My machine was acting like the Y gear box was going prematurely. But when I took the machine apart it seemed solid, so I checked the rollers. Here is what I am adding to my 250 (or so) hr maint. routine. As long al I have the machine that for apart, I am going to remove the Y truck and take it to the work bench. There I will remove the Z truck. I will check all the rollers. If they spin freely, I will put some 3in1 oil front and back and spin them to work it in. Any that are catchy, stiff or frozen I will use a minimum of WD40 and work them until they move freely, then use 3in 1 oil front and back, them spin them to work it in. If they can’t be made to run freely and smoothly, I will replace them. Warning, a short time back someone posted a problem with “tool marks) similar to the old wobbly QC. If you get that when you reassemble your machine, make sure that the rollers, especially the Y, are snug enough. You can reach around in the assembled machine to reach the cam-nut with the 12mm wrench. There should be no play in and out, but the truck should roll freely with no grinding feeling.

I was just looking at Buds Videos and notice there are no videos on the maintenance of the machine. Has anyone ever make some.

LeoCheck out these links.
The Video on maintenance, that was produced by LHR is old but still true. http://www.carvewright.com/2010CWweb/instructvid/instructvid.html
This LHR link has all sorts of PDFs on various items.

I agree that the LHR video is still good but limited. The PDF's are also great, however it seems like a video removing and replacing the Bearings or other parts would be useful. Since we are creating a 250 maintenance sheet.

That is what I was talking about. I was not aware they were there. However it would be nice to have on other repairs, Brushes, Belts, etc.
