I recently purchased a cw005 from Amazon. They say it is an $1899 value for $1599. I received the basic machine which carvewright sells for $1199. Packing slip says other items will ship separately. I noticed that I have a 1 year warranty so that was part of the upgrade but I don't know what else I am supposed to get thaat makes up the $1899 value. I have contacted Amazon and they say whatever Carvewright ships is what you get. Carvewright says it is an Amazon issue and they have to order other items. I know, I know the amazon ad is vague and I was probably dumb for not getting it clarified, but there must be something else I am getting for $1899 value.

If it is this Amazon url, it looks like you ordered just a standard version "C". I don't see anything mentioned of anything else being added/offered.

Sorry, but it looks like you might have just overpaid.

Amazon makes up the List Price so they can say they are giving you a discount. They do this on just about everything they sell. Always go by the selling price to determine if the price is a value or not. Disregard the "You save" because it means nothing when it comes to Amazon pricing.

The good thing about amazon is you can return for almost any reason so you can return it. Note that the 1 year warranty is an extra on the cw site.

I would look at it this way, you got the carvewright for 1200, warranty , 200, shipping 100, and a little for Amazon.

If you lived in Texas you would add tax shipping, etc, would be about that price overall for the machine.

I would enjoy it, the warranty is definately worth it should you happen to need it.

Happy Carving and we are here on the forum if you need us.

Contact your credit card issuer and protest the charge. Do not use the machine until you make the contact.

here at a couple of links from sears to get the decorative bit set, they are closing them out - you will just need to remove the old styles adapters, get the split collet and stop collars from LHR. This will save a bunch of money for you.

The great thing about Amazon you can return the item no questions asked! If you have not received the CW yet, refuse it from UPS and they will send it back. When I ordered my CW ("C ) from Amazon it came with a carving and cutting bit and yes the one year warranty. 2 years ago Amazon was the better deal, but now LHR has the best prices! If you already received the CW I would call Amazon and ask if they will pay shipping for the return? Oh that is one more perk Amazon does have free shipping. Otherwise I think you paid about $75.00 more with Amazon?

Is the shipping free or just built into the price?

I don't know? It is the price they offer and free shipping. All I know as you pointed out with shipping LHR is still less...
