Well, this was the carve that was going on when I thought I fried my LCD. It is a set of Chief's Enlisted Aviator Wings and is a commission for a retiring Master Sergeant (along with a stripes-shaped shadow box) I'm getting a good price for this, and hope to need to make more. The carve was done in walnut with the 3/16 carving bit, which cut the carve time to under 2 hours at normal.
Thank for looking, and as always, comments are appreciated.

If you look at this picture, you may think you see where the carve was glued together... but you'd be wrong

The glueline is NOT at point 1, but at point 2 as it shows here

Here is how I carved it out

I did make one mistake in this pattern- I originally had the piece as a whole thing together and had a couple tabs placed in the fallout sections that are on the "shoulders" of the wings. I decided to try to split the carve up to save wood, and when I did so I forgot to add the tabs. The left side held fine, but the right side did indeed break loose. Lucky for me I thought about this as the piece was carving and paused the carve (sans LCD) removed the piece, and restarted the carve (blindfolded with one arm tied behind my back)-- this kept the fallout from causing any mischief.
Thanks for looking, and always, comments/critiques etc are appreciated.
