Last night I spent about 2 hours making a customer sign artwork in many different fonts... I usually send the customer about a dozen to pick from.... Each a one sided .mpc then screen shot and cropped... Customers love it... So many Choices... Makes them feel better with the prices I charge.... I believe it is time well spent.... The one last night I did in All Caps and some in upper and lower case.
So today my Brother sends me a email from one of his eBay searches that he found a Rustic NEW sign with our small one horse town on it.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Welcome-To-SHOHOLA-PENNSYLVANIA-Rustic-Hand-Made-Wooden-Sign-/290691590530?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43ae91a982
SO I am impressed... Going to all that trouble to make a sample sign with our one horse town name on it.... Then I look at others of the same style and I catch something is not right.... The left side of the sign was further away from the camera than the right side..... This makes the First Letter not Parallel with the left side of the sign.... Then I take a close look at many of the Signs... And I realize it is a case of PHOTO SHOP.... Using a blank Name with Welcome and a few layers, the text is typed on one layer and inserted on the sign and the top layer has some of the defects in it.... Pretty SLICK....
I still send sample Artwork the Old Fashion Way....
