I just got done with a 2 hour carve and notice when I changed the last bit it was a little warm. It wasn't so hot I couldn't hold it, but it was warmer than usual. I just wondered if there was any thing I should check. I replace the flex shaft spring last week because it broke in 2 places. It is a "C" machine with 50-75 hours on it.

Thanks

Leo

Make sure you do not have excess lube from the flex shaft going into the spindle it will cause a failure. If you do try cleaning it with rag and Q tips from the top after removing the flex shaft.

Call LHR but I believe the CarveTite can run a little HOT until it is broke in.....

But remove the Top Hat and look for Oil like posted above.

I was told once that anything below 120 degrees is ok - I keep an eye on mine with an infrared thermometer.
