Was commissioned to do this wall plaque for a Navy Squadron out on the West coast for their Chief Petty Officer's Mess
Had a lot of fun making it and the Tips and Tricks July 2009 was a big help in making it happen.
Carved in Oak, 2 36 x 11.25 pieces. Jointed, and carved using the Carvewright, followed by my doweling jig, then glued, clamped and cut. I added support framing in the back.
Finished size is 22 x 22. Stained in Red Oak, and painted with metallic gold and silver.
